Kloosterboer started in 1981 with stevedoring. The yearly number
of containers we handle has been growing ever since. In 2005
we handled 2,0 million tons of food and food related products
from more than 1,000 ships with break bulk cargo and a growing
number of containers.
We work fast and are flexible. Loading and unloading takes
place alongside our cold stores in Vlissingen, IJmuiden, Rotterdam
and Alesund (Norway). On average some 100 skilled employees
are working in the ships.
In 2004 we started operating with a new 70 tons container
crane along with a newly built container stack for 200 containers
in Vlissingen. We carry out container barge services on a
weekly basis between Antwerp, Rotterdam and Vlissingen.
All our stevedoring services are subject to the Rotterdamse Stuwadoors Conditions.
